wow. it's been like, forever since my last post. mostly cause i suddenly forgot to blog that one week and there-after, could never remember. but here i am. it's slightly breezy outside, with just a hint of chill in the air. and the leaves are slowly saying good-bye and fluttering to the ground. harvest has begun and we even had a harvest moon this month. they say the next one won't happen again until 2049. my brother left this morning for TX. he's going to help with corn and cotton harvest for about six weeks i think. i wish him the best of times!

flour dusted table top,

apple peels strewn

over sticky sugared

utensils.

scents

d r i f t i n g

through the sunny kitchen.

warmed, hot oven;

i fan my face as

hot air poofs and steams,

like a sauna.

and there is fresh

apple pie

for lunch.
