A hobby of mine

I always felt guilty for buying books. Money, you know. All that money. For books to sit on my bookshelf, which I will say that the books are positively squished and piled on my tiny bookshelf. So the spring of this year, I pranced into Barnes&Nobles and bought a large amount of books. And gave away a humongous amount of money. B&N is expensive. But I got a free membership card. And every time I go there and buy something I get a coupon for a free cookie at Starbucks. But that is beside the point. My brother and I were in town, down town, and there is this absolutely darling bookstore along the side walk. And once again, I succumbed to the delights of the books and spent money. On the way home, I complained to my brother about this awful habit of mine. And guess what? I don’t feel guilty anymore. He said buying books is a worthwhile trait. It could even be called a hobby. Books last a long time if you take care of them. And some if them are quite valuable when they get old. So now I don’t feel bad about buying books. It’s my hobby! Random fact about books. The smell of old books, is actually the smell of death. The book’s death. The components of the book break down and that is the smell you associate with almonds, leaves, grass, and flowers. Isn’t that intriguing?
Your brother is very wise! Buying books is indeed a worthwhile hobby❤😁😂
