Answered Prayer

Wow it’s been seven days since I’ve last posted. Not quite a record breaker for me, but it feels like a long time. I’ve been enjoying all the SUNSHINE. Lately we’ve been having sunshiney days and rainy nights. It’s been so perfect, I’m afraid by just saying anything about it, I’ll mess it up.
Here’s my contribution for today. It’s about an answered prayer. I think I was around twelve or thirteen years of age.
It was dark outside, and I was at the age where I did not appreciate thunderstorms at all, but pretended to like them because it was ‘cool’. But now, in my bed, I was face to face with my fears. The thunder crashed in the valley and re-echoed. I shivered under the covers and prayed desperately, God, please hold my hand.
I held my hand out like I was ready to hold someone’s hand, and suddenly there was a very real hand holding my hand. I felt safe, and comforted, and I fell asleep holding to the hand of God.
I hope it helps someone understand the power of prayer. It is a very special memory to me.
Have a good Saturday. ♥️
How amazing is our God!
