Every Today is a Yesterday

The glamor of a day.

Exclaiming over a sunrise at breakfast. Sweeping the floor and being amazed at all the dirt seeming to appear out of thin air. The clatter of a sewing machine in the background. Lunch with the men. Naps and relaxation. Crackers and cheese at three. The sun warming you as you roll down the road to pick up the school children. The chimes talking to themselves in the chilly breeze. Supper preparations. The sun setting in a spectacular show of gold and like King Midas, turning everything to gold in the process.

The glamor of a day.

It’s nothing special, you say. This happens every day.

Oh, but it is something special. Someday it will be a nostalgic memory. Tomorrow, it will be yesterday.
