But God was there. He heard you cry. He saw you fail. He saw you degrade yourself. And He still loved you. He loved you when you gave up. He loved you when you kept trying. He loved you when you were at the hardest point in your life. He loved you when it seemed like everything was okay. He saw you and He loved you. He loves you.

Present tense, He loves you. Future, He will continue to love you. He can’t stop loving you. And the way is hard. The rocks cut your feet. The hill is steep and long. And you fall.

And when you get up on the top, it’s more beautiful than you have ever imagined. Maybe you had no strength to imagine. It’s still beautiful. And God is there. He was there, helping you. Even if you didn’t feel like it.
