I want to write. I want to write messily, with coffee circles staining the pages. I want to write sadly, moodily, with tears smearing the ink. I want to write dreamily, with dried flowers in my hair and scattered over the laptop. I want to write excitedly, starving myself in order to get the chapter done. I want to write slowly, savoring my characters' lives. I want to write crabbily, spilling my anger onto the page. I want to write in the middle of the night. I want to write in the August afternoons, when the air is sticky and hot. I want to write in the morning, when I’m all alone with the sunrise. I want to write.
