Little Bits of Now

Happy Birthday to my wonderful mom. I’m so glad you’re mine:)

The sunrise this morning was gorgeous. Not gorgeously bright, or bold, or stunning, no, it was gorgeously soft and all pastels. Pink, a touch of orange, a baby blue sky beyond. The bare brown trees up against the sky. Made my heart sigh.

I’m drinking (iced) coffee. It didn’t turn out very nicely, but that’s okay. At least it didn’t take money. Got to look on the bright side. And I’m ensconced in my favorite blanket. I’ve gotten into drawing again. I’ve been doing some double exposure. If you have any ideas I would love to hear them. I’ve also started doing portraits. They are a lot of fun, and it is interesting to see how many different poses I can draw them into. I need shading pencils though, before they are finish. I use very unprofessional pencils. Let’s see. I have a lead pencil, a carpenter’s pencil(those green flat ones), and an eraser. I use the carpenter‘s pencil for shading. It works until I want to shade the face. The lead pencil is used for sharper details. But I’m hoping I‘ll get a 30 piece pencil set for Christmas. Or my birthday.

This coming Sunday I’ll be at my friend’s wedding and I am super excited for that. In Arizona. I’m also super excited to see the landscape.

I wrote a kids book. I need to illustrate it. And edit the actual book. So I have been writing. Also I am still writing poetry. I just don’t have any to share on here. But just letting you know that it’s not all just consuming enormous amounts of caffeine(not just coffee:D)and banging my head on the desk top.
