Reminded of Heaven

I am reminded of Heaven when I see the blend of lilac and rose in the western sky.

I am reminded of Heaven when I feel the breeze playing with the strands of my hair.

I am reminded of Heaven when I see the sunflowers nodding in the dusky air.

I am reminded of Heaven when I think of the newest souls to enter that peaceful place.

I am reminded of Heaven when I hear a lovely song being sung by frail human voices.

I am reminded of Heaven when I see someone’s face twisted in sobbing grief.

I am reminded of Heaven when I taste the scents of a new day on my tongue.

I am reminded of Heaven when I see a broken person in the angry city streets.

I am reminded of Heaven whenever I see one of God’s precious, eternal souls.

I am reminded of Heaven when I see the silver crescent of the moon in the sky.

I am reminded of Heaven whenever I hear the stark voice of thunder speak.

I am reminded of Heaven when all this life drowns me in drunken sorrow.

I am reminded because I am born of dust and I will return to dust,

But I will live in eternal glory for the rest of infinity, the greatest infinity of all.

In loving memory of Tonya and Ellie Beachy.

I am so sad.

Keep the family in your prayers, especially Eric.
