These Days

Yesterday morning I was laying out in the grass feeling my skin crackle under the sun. Micah climbed over and around me and sang, "Here comes the sun, dodododo..." softly, softly, a pitch higher than what I sang and a tad more tuneless. Mum was planting potatoes and peas, carrots and lettuce, and a row of beans. I probably left something out. It was so bright and pretty. Later that afternoon, the youth got together at school and played softball. I'm very sore and my arms and legs have a red tinge to them but I am also happy. First game of the season. It was fun.

Today, the sky weeps intermittently and occasionally sweeps the earth with gusts of wind. We had company for lunch and Barbara and I went to CW so I could get some good coffee and chocolate.
